The Hobie Mirage Tandem Island is the big sister to the Adventure Island and is the newest addition to the Hobie Mirage Fleet. The Tandem Island is an 18.6 foot Trimaran Sail/Yak that incorporates the patented Hobie MirageDrive into a unique two person sailing machine unlike any other craft on the water. Polynesian style amas provide uncompromising stability and the roller furling main offers a wide range of sailing power.
The new Tandem Island features an oversized rudder that can be controlled from either seat, a whopping 90 square feet (8.4 m) of sail area, dual sheeting controls for sail from front and rear cockpits, two MirageDrive units with Turbo fins, two high back padded seats w/self-inflating lumbar supports, and a built in fully retractable centerboard.
